2. There is a green LED on the TachoDrive key while downloading the data from the tachograph while the tachograph displays - Transmission Error. Error 12. - message. What is the problem? The described above problem concerns Siemens 1381 tachographs and, in most cases, does not mean a real error. The error number 12 could mean, that the tachograph didn't register any activities in his mass memory from the days required by the user.
- If the key still downloads the data, that is, the first LED flashes green, one should wait untill the transmission is finished (first LED in constant green). Despite the transmission error, the transmission has been completed successfuly.
- However, if the first LED goes red, it means that there is a transmission error indeed. In that case one should count the number of red flashed of the LED and find a corresponding error in the manual (available in the TachoDrive Express software and on the manufacturer webpage). After removing the cause of the error, one can try to downalod the data again.
The error message - Transmission error. Error 12 - can be eliminated by confirming it with the tachgraph OK button.
3. While downloading the data from the tachograph, one of the LEDs is red while the other flashes. What does it mean?
It means an error of data transmission. In order to get more information regarding the problem, one needs to count the number of flashes of the information LED. Its number corresponds to the error code and description of which one can find in the key manual. The manual is also available on the manufacturer webpage.
4. I have configured the TD key or TD2 tool to download the data from the last download but after downloading and entering the data to the TACHOMATT Yellow or TachoDrive Express, all the calendar download fields are white. Why?
The most common reason in such situation is a prior unsuccessfull trial to download the data from the tachograph. Even though the download was unsuccessfull, the tachograph registers the downloading trial as well as its date and hour. Therefore during the next download from the last download, the tachograph will make it accessible only from that date. If there were no other activites performed in the meantime, the data can be an empty set and the TACHOMATT Yellow as well as TachoDrive Express calendar will not mark corresponding fields in green.
Therefore it is recommended to choose the Activities from tachograph and select demanded time period in fields from and to while configuring the TD key or TD2 tool.
5. What does the down arrow in the calendar in catalogues of TACHOMATT Yellow and TachoDrive Express mean?
The down arrow in the load calendar represents the day at which the downloading the data from the digital tachograph or driver card has been done.
6. What does the green fields in the calendar in TACHOMATT Yellow and TachoDrive Express catalogues mean?
Green fields in the loading calendars represent days that the data from the digital tachograph or driver card has been downloaded for, while the calendar square marked green in half means, that the data from a given day misses some information, that is, the data from 0:00 till 23:59 is not full. Such situation occurs when the data has been downloaded from a tachograph from a current day, i.e.: at 14:00 o 'clock. The tachograph will make access only to the information from that day from 0:00 till 14:00 and the square in the calendar of TACHOMATT yellow and TachoDrive Express will be green in half.

10. What does an error code no 8, 9 or 10 mean in the TachoDrive Express?
The TachoDrive keys and TachoDrive2 tools are designed for different markets. The cooperation between the TachoDrive Express software and the TD key or TD2 tools is possible only if the region of the application is compatible with the region code of the device. If it is not the case, then the TachoDrive Express will display "Application error: code x" after plugging the key to the PC, where the x stands for the number 8,9 or 10. 13. Why do I receive a warning no 4 while downloading the data?
One should check the TD2 tool konfiguration. The most common reason for warning no 4 is configuring the TD2 tool to download the data from the driver card as well. In the meantime the card hasn't been inserted into the TachoDrive2 or tachograph. One should insert the driver card in an appropriate TD2 tool slot or tachograph and download the data again or change the device configuration so that it won't be downloading the data from driver card.
